SCHE= NGEN VISA APPLCATION (LESS THAN 90 DAYS)
1. For applic= ants who have compelling reasons for visiting or transiting via France for = less than 7 days, prior approval fr= om the French consulate must be obtained before booking an = appointment.
If you are fully vaccina= ted, you don't need a prior approval, please include a copy of your vaccination proof in your application file<= /span>.
Without a printed email appro= val from French consulate or vaccination proof, visa centres will NOT accep= t your visa application.
2. Schengen Travel Insurance must cover the whole duration of your stay in Schengen area, valid = for all Schengen countries.

LONG-STAY FRENCH VISA APPLICATIONS (MORE THAN 90 DAYS)

2. Long-stay Visitor visa
Health insurance (new rules upd= ated on 14.05.2021)
2.1 Temporary Long Stay Vi= sitor visa “VLS-T” (duration of stay 90-180 days/year)=
UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) or valid European Health Insur= ance Card (EHIC) are now accepted.
Please provide a copy of your GHIC= or valid EHIC.
If you don’t hold a UK-GHIC or valid EHIC, you = will need to provide a private health insurance, which must cover full requ= ested long stay visa, up to 6 months (VLS-T).

2.2 Long Sta= y Visitor visa “VLS-TS” (duration of stay over 180 days/year)
Please provide a private health insurance which must cover the= full requested long stay visa, up to 1 year.
In case of retir= ement in France (applies for Retirees receiving a British retirement pensio= n) :
Following new instructions on the issuance of Long Stay= Visitor Visas, valid S1 Form is now accepted as evidence of medical covera= ge. Please provide a copy of your S1 Form.
If you don’t hold a S= 1 Form, you will need to provide a private Health insurance, which must cov= er full requested long stay visa, up to 1 year.

3. Long-stay student visa<= br />3.1 please lodge your application within 3 months before the beginning of your studies (c= orresponding to your visa purpose).

3.2 Campus France proc= edure - mandatory
If you are accepted in one of the programs = in a French higher education institution for more than 90 days in 2021-2022= , you must register on Etudes en France (Ca= mpus France) before submitting your visa application.
Please <= span style=3D"color: #0000ff;">print email confirmation/ validation proof f= rom Campus France UK, and indicate your CEF number on your visa appl= ication form when you register on France Visas portal.
Visa centres DO NOT accept a long-stay student visa appli= cation not validated by Campus France UK.

3.3 Erasmus pro= gram / French or Foreign state scholarship
If you participat= e to Erasmus program or receive a French or Foreign state scholarship for y= our future studies in France, please inform immediately our customer servic= e agent and provide an official proof (sign= ed/stamped ERASMUS learning agreement or ERASMUS Grant agreement or signed/= stamped university letter) to qualify for a visa fee waiver.
I= t's very important to guide customer service agent to find Erasmus informat= ion. Fee errors will lead to application re= jection and delay in visa decision process.

3.4 D= igitalised visa application
Please do NOT upload your supporting documents on France Visas portal= , if you haven't yet done so. Please bring = all your supporting documents to visa centre.
Due to some tech= nical issues, your uploaded supporting documents may not be visible for Con= sular Authority and visa centre may not be able to confirm your application= on France Visas platform. If this happens unfortunately, we will fill agai= n your application at counter.

4. Long-stay professional i= nternship / student internship :
Convention de stage (internship agreement) must be validated by French = administration. It may be a separate document titled "Avis favorable sur convention de stage". =
If you are a student, please inform our customer service agent to cha= nge to visa type "Long-stay student internship".

MINOR APPLICANT
An application of a minor = under 18 years old on the appointment day can only be submitted by his/her = parent or legal guardian. Minor = applicants under 12 years old applying for a short stay visas do not need t= o provide biometric data, thus are advised NOT to come to Visa Centre in pe= rson.

Wearing a face mask is still compulsory from th= e time of arrival to the time of departure.

Only payment by bank card is accepted.
